I have to give up hobbies because of the medication

I have pretty bad tremors in the legs and arms. Always had them but the meds made it worse. Cogentin helps. Also there is Essential Tremor which is benign and gets worse as you get older. I have that plus Parkinsonism and muscle stiffness so it’s a bit hard to tell which is which.

As previously stated, that has been ruled out.

When you said it was non-genetic I thought you were referring to the fact that you thought it could have been antipsychotics.

They think the grey matter changes are from drying pyramidal neurons and lack of dendrites to these neurons. The dendrites keep the neurons alive and as dopamine causes wide scale brain activation. The wire together fire together applies where neurons and dendrites not in use die because of antipsychotics.

Parkinsons is also due to lack of dopamine and death of neurons. It is possible that antipsychotics could progress or cause Parkinson’s. Parkinsonism symptoms aren’t super uncommon in antipsychotics use. This is different to TD. The fact that antipsychotics could cause or exacerbate parkinsons isn’t an unreasonable view, but I don’t think it is currently supported by consensus science or would be an accepted view and I’m not a doctor.

I have a doctor for this purpose. Please kindly remove your nose from my business.

Sorry, I wish for you the best.
