It is impossible to literally live in the present, because everything you experience is already in the past. Everything is change. We are only aware of this change from the present, not the actual present, because the present doesn’t exist (at least not for humans). There are no points in time for humans, and no things that are, only things that are not, but that we believe were or will be.

If this sounds crazy then give me a tin foil hat, please.

No, just the words we use to describe it. In fact, I’m not sure I believe in anything that you could call time or that even resembles it.

Everything that exists to us is a changing memory. Things that don’t change can’t exist, and things that exist are already changed.
