I hardly brush my teeth

I mean, I can maybe see it. I don’t know. I could see gum disease getting bad where you get an infection, and an infection in your mouth is close to your brain, so maybe that adds up?

I think i’ve read it can contribute to heart disease and dementia

yeah. Makes sense. Well i know how lot’s of things can contribute to dementia.

I went a long time without brushing my teeth last year…then I ordered some chocolate -flavored and bubblegum-flavored toothpaste and have started doing it again. I haven’t seen a dentist since the pandemic started and have an appointment on Friday, I hope it goes well…

I brush my teeth every night. I could do better.

I am the same as you, though I am 64. I brush my teeth very seldom. I could be looking at some giant dental bills down the road.

@NonExistant a dental hygienist once told me something that kinda gets me in the bathroom to brush more often. She said the bacteria in your mouth eat the sugars and poop out the plaque. She said basically if you don’t brush you’re letting the bacteria poop in your mouth. She also told me that it takes 8 days for plaque to form, if you feel plaque you are missing spots or going way to long without brushing.

Good for you that you have teeth.

My x boyfriend doesn’t have any teeth.he uses dentures.
You don’t want to lose your teeth.

Also if someone kisses you they might see ot as disrespectful and gross that you haven’t brushed .

Hope you can start brushing daily.

Take it from someone that neglected their oral health their entire life- start brushing now.

I have broken teeth, rotting teeth, eroded teeth, and am going through a lot of removals, drilling, and more. I have had infections including one that could have killed me.

Set a reminder to go off each day in the morning and at night to brush. Then do it.

Brushing might not have been important if we lived in the stone age when life expectancy was around 30 years. It seems our teeth have not evolved to sustain a longer life. This is why brushing and rinsing is a investment to keep teeth healthy, avoid pain, complications and save a lot of money on dentist bills.

I usually brush my teeth once a day but sometimes I’ll skip a day.
I know, not good

My teeth are okay. I am almost 53 and I smoke and drink coffee. I hardly ever brush or floss but the VA cleans them like every 3 months and I get free dental for life. I have a few crowns.

They always tell me to floss but I never do.

oh god teeth.

i’ve had so much work done. stopped putting sugar in my coffee but had another cavity drilled recently.

Me either I need to start doing so or I’ll end up like my grandpa with fake teeth.

I was neglecting my teeth hygiene and as a result I had to have a tooth removed and root canal. it is a big thing and costs a lot. I take care of my teeth very well now. brush them twice a day, floss once a day and use mouthwash.

tooth pain is the worst. it really affects you completely, it ruins everything and is just horrible. I have also had a tooth crumble in my mouth. my mouth was full of pieces of teeth. it was traumatic and I still sometimes feel that, and it gives me anxiety.

I have a big fear of dentist, because of experiences from childhood, but I don’t have to go to dentist as I take care of my teeth.

I had lot of issues with teeth. It was crooked done by few people when I was child. Its an awful thing to do. It caused me mental illness and roam in streets and become poor and loaner. Because my speech would be garbled and would not make sense to people. Now I am almost fine as I fixed my teeth doing some treatment on my own but long way to go to be part of society.
