Good. Letting blood sugar go unchecked for too long can be a risk factor for lots of things. Including dementia later in life. A good idea to keep a eye on. I watch mine very closely these days.
Apparently my weight is 3kg less than a year ago but my diet needs work! Im 18 stone thanks to ap , just can’t starve ive tried and crash diets don’t work anyway.
I don’t want you to take this as fact, but I think metformin is mostly for decreasing insulin resistance? I think I read that before. It doesnt directly affect insulin production like a glipizide or something? If they only have you on 500mg of Metformin, your diabetes must not have progressed too far yet. You probably have time to reverse it with weight loss and exercise if you wanted to try.
I was in psych hospital for 20 months, 5 years ago and lost weight and reversed it
Its came back, had it a year since its back
It just annoys me that the nurses never give me any advice, nothing and in the waiting room i was sat near these two giggling teenagers who i thought were looking at me and laughing. Then the nurse was super thin and judgemental. She put a large cuff on to take blood pressure, i was so embarrassed because a normal size cuff always is big enough lol
Well, let the doctors tell you for sure. I’m just saying that if thats all they are putting you on atm, it doesnt sound ridiculously bad. Maybe they will increase meds after your blood tests, IDK.
My dr told me a lot of my physical problems would make sense if i had full blown diabetes, but i dont. My a1c has never gone above 5.9. Its at 5.8 last time i checked and i just cut out a lot of sugar from my diet. Diabetes is not a fun one, requires so much dedication to lifestyle changes
