I’m getting a car in a few weeks. My current one has a transition problem and it is so expensive that I just figured getting a new car would be a better idea.

Yeah good work.
I am on disability and had to get rid of mine but can borrow dads. I can drive good and park anything anywhere simply from driving for a living.
More power to you so look after it and really do get it serviced regularly even though it will cost. Find a good, trustworthy mechanic and if you can’t do it yourself get your oil changed regularly. It really does make a difference depending on your miles.
