I found a credit union that lets you get your direct deposit early

I really like credit unions because they are member owned. I have been with a regular bank that is letting you get your Social Security check a couple of days early, but really like the credit union I have been with. So I’m glad I found this new one. I found it through one of the 50+ person organizations.

I used to have a bank that would let you do that at well. But I think they charged you like $1.25 per $20 taken in advance.

Don’t they pay direct into you current/checking account?

Yes, @bobbilly . We are talking about getting the money in ADVANCE of the deposit into account.

I used to get my benefits early on public holidays but now I have court appointed person looking after my finances I get it after public holiday and weekends. It was the queen golden jubilee and I meant to get paid on Thursday but it wasn’t until Monday. I don’t feel like as am quite wealthy so it does not matter if my benefits are late.

My credit union reimburses atm transactions. They have become worse recently. Sort of goofy. Still better than a bank. Ive been with them for ever police credit union my grandad was a cop. They were super great at one point but got sort of goofy recently.

Same here. I get mine direct deposited 3 to 5 days early at my credit union. I have been with them since I was a teen or even younger.

To heck with the banks.

Thanks. I like it where any excess money they make goes back to more benefits or reducing fees and such. I would add I think they are more likely to lend you money than banks do.

Maybe. If you are in good standing with okay credit then sure. I took out my first loan at 16 for my S-10 though I had to have my dad cosign.

My first credit card was a Montgomery Ward’s department store credit card. My mom cosigned for it for me and also on a 1978 leftover new Subaru I bought in 1979.
