I feel guilty

I found a 300$ phone infront of my house, Google Pixel 2 XL. The thing is that the person disabled the network by reporting it as stolen so it had no line. I took out the sim card and it only had numbers on it. I had no way of getting in contact with the owner.

It had a pw so I waited 2 weeks for the person to come. No one came so I reset the phone. It then asked his gmail pw. I saw a youtube video on how to remove his account and put mine. It worked.
I am using it now.

I really like Pixel phones now, the Google software is faster and smoother than any other phone. Its faster than my 1 year newer Samsung S9.

In the UK, you can hand items you found into the police station, and if no one claims them within a certain amount of time you are legally allowed to take it.

I never go out of my house even before the corona. I was sitting infront of my house when I found it.

Yeah, if you have no way of returning it though, you have not really done much wrong.

I hope the person doesn’t come because I erased all the data in his phone.

Yea I don’t think he will come after a month for a 3 years old phone.

Cool, congrats.

My dad found a Samsing S8, we’re going through a similar dilemma.
