My lover has not been around and it’s Valentine’s day — so I turned on the porn for the first time in 4.5 months now I feel ashamed and like God doesnt love me and everything is screwed up from it …

It’s the images of some things that don’t comport with how your wired. Plus some is smut pure and simple.

When I had a gf I never watched porn or masturbated. But now since I am single I do. Not addicted though and its not negatively affecting my life.

I have fallen down the Porn Hole myself, it’s a dark place after a while. I have been very careful the last 2 months not to go there.

Isn’t it though? Just another dopamine hit like a notification on social media or on your smartphone. The proliferation of certain mega sites have made it so anyone who can use a mouse and keyboard can access whatever they want at whatever age. I think that when the internet is replaced by the next big thing (and it will be replaced, all of our technologies have entered obsolescence at some point), we will look back at the porn on the net very negatively and with a sense of shame.

Some of the oldest cave paintings are porn. Some of the oldest known sculptures are dildos. Porn and masturbation is a pretty natural human behavior. It is just a problem that such extreme stuff has become so mainstream, and that sometimes real actors are being really harmed or mistreated.

I’ve never really been into porn. I’ve checked out a few though back in the video store days in the early 2000’s.

I imagine those are very tame by modern standards.

I recently saw a documentary about the modern porn industry and it disturbed the hell out of me.

I do get that money is involved. But it’s much more Sinister than that. I grew up in low rentals, and saw a lot of ■■■■ I wish I didn’t see.

Drug abuse is a huge contribution I’m sure also

nowadays there are loads of women doing solo acts, i wouldnt feel as bad watching that as no industry is controlling them . i pretty much only look at gifs and images nowadays as i dont care too much for long scenes and acting i just want to see the spiciest stuff so it can be done and over with and i can do something else. ive been looking at alot of categories im not used to out of curiosity but idk my libido is off the charts this past week i cant even watch tv or youtube and see any good looking women without getting aroused mentally

Porn is disturbing, and everything we watch gets stored in our brains to haunt us. The internet generation can see more sexual images in 10 minutes than our ancestors did in a lifetime.

I consider being addicted to porn mental suicide. Working on staying away from it.
