But I’ll inevitably go through a phase when I’m convinced I do. It doesn’t matter about diagnosis ( I know ) but something to help stop these waves of anxiety and I’m not allowed any antidepressant. … I don’t want to change the meds as my psychosis is under control. But the anxiety is sometimes unbearable to the point of tears.
For 4 years they gave me benzos and pregabalin to fight the anxiety
But no, not anxiety
It’s secondary to psychosis
Led to 9 months of changing meds, and that has made things worse.
They even took GAD off my list of dx’s even though I have really bad anxiety
I don’t care what it is, but they need to fix it as I am starting to get upset that there is little relief from this experience
I dont get panic attacks or anxiety. I asked to be taken off Abilify after believing I no longer have schizophrenia. I stopped the pills for a month. I didnt notice being less logical but my brother told me i seemed less like my normal self. They gave me valium and let me try to use that instead–valium doesnt work against schizophrenia. They gave it to me at night to knock me out, and for anxiety but I dont have anxiety. I got my PCP to prescribe me Valium. Reason, im having trouble sleeping again–and Ambien is no longer covered by medicaid because junkies abuse ambien. So I was given 5mgs Valium as needed for anxiety or sleep at bed time.My brother said only take it if I have a severe panic attack, avoid it as much as possible, that its addictive and I shouldnt have been given it.
I have GAD as a DX I dont know why and I have major depression and schizophrenia. I think issues related to med insurance and access leads to confusion and accuracy in label and treatment of the mental illness.
Are you allowed buspirone? It’s not addictive, not an AD, and it’s specifically for anxiety
I understand. I have untreated anxiety too. I couldn’t get my dr to give me a higher dose of buspirone like my friend has so I just suffer. I hope they help you
Try going on a proper mood stabilizer @anon25873142
They can help with anxiety too.
Also going on a low dose benzo will definitely help.
I take low dose Klonopin and take it on a PRN basis
