So my postive symptoms are all under control from the abilify. I do have some negs like apathy and anhedonia and stuff but its not horribly bad at the moment.
I realised recently that when i drive my car in areas unfamiliar to me, i freak out and become super stressed. Feel like i cant think quickly enough to make the best moves in the car safely. Im an excellent driver when i know where i am and where im going.
I think aside from the sz symptoms, i also have something else like adhd or maybe mild adult ASD. Apart from driving, social interactions with people are super difficult with me. Even though i want to be social as i beleive it helps my sanity.
Do you guys think that these things could just be sz/meds stuff? Or something else aswell?
Oh yeah also, i have to rehearse what im going to say to anyone otherwise my words are all jumbled and dont make sense.
Among many other oddities that make life a little more difficult.
Or am i just slow in the head? Maybe, but i feel these things are the result of someting other than being dull.
Maybe the driving is anxiety. It’s very common for our community and it can present like you describe especially when it’s something new and stressful. Might be worth addressing with your psydoc. I’m aggressively social and do a lot of talking but that is uncommon around here. Most folks have trouble with socialising and a lot I think is overthinking the situation or again anxiety.
@rogueone yeah true. It is quite difficult to determine what is anxiety and what is the sz symptoms.
I have a pdoc and therapy apoontment soon so I’ll see what they think.
Yeah and also stress makes symptoms worse too so you need to take that into account. Still. I get anxiety in the car sometimes and I’d say it’s a similar thing to what you describe.
