Because I’m just someone to knock off my pedestal.
Australians have this thing they call the Tall Poppy Syndrome. We tend to knock people off pedestals all the time and look to make everyone a bit more egalitarian. We often favour the underdogs in sporting events and sometimes cheer against our teams because they are " too good " or winning.
You’d fit in over here @PinCushion . We don’t mind a bit of humility and you certainly could be that.
It’s a case of damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
More importantly pat yourself on the back if you win. You finish a wordle quickly it’s a good thing and you’ve done well. Australians also learn that winning isn’t everything so enjoy those times.
I think your way too hard on yourself and you’ve many good qualities. Nothing wrong with being a little confident or competitive. Give yourself a chance!
Winning feels damn awesome if you’ve done it after everyone told you that you never had a hope.
Suck it, haterz.
I think I was more than a little afraid the loser would retaliate.
As @shutterbug says…enjoy it. Never too late to learn. Enjoy those victories. People are people and soon forget if they are adjusted enough. Be confident in your abilities and enjoy those little victories as much as those big ones.
So cute it made me teary-eyed
What’s your problem?
I meant like it was sweet. Not in a bad way.
