In all my musical training, I never had a voice lesson and never developed my voice enough to know. I knew the hand work involved in playing instruments but thought singing was as easy as talking. Not so. So here’s to you who are singers.

Yeah, Michael Bolton had to study for years to get as perfectly annoying as he is. Not just anybody can train themselves to sing a song that sounds like someone scraping their fingernails on a black board. The guy is a true dedicated artist.

Singing is like any art: you take it as far as you want to. I sing in the church “choir.” We aren’t very good. Nowhere near professional. We do it in unison, scarcely any harmonizing. We are disorganized and rather slipshod. But on the other hand, it’s nice in that anybody who wishes to can participate. I’ve heard it opined that everyone can sing. I reckon it depends on your definition of singing 
it’s chord progression more or less.
I was never disciplined enough to learn violin, guitar or flute so I chose to learn some kazoo, Autoharp, voice and piano because it doesnt take very long to at least get some positive feedback from your practice. I have always been pretty nervous and jittery so stage fright is always really hard for me but now I at least feel more relaxed making YouTube videos. I had some classical training but didn’t enjoy it much and have somewhat of a flat affect so my voice isn’t always very expressive if I sing bel canto.

I used to sing in chorus in middle school and I was lead singer in a rock band during my high school years.
We covered a lot of Rolling Stones songs.
I guess I have an above average singing voice.

i would teach you music but i have no idea if you’re a good or bad person, I don’t want to be responsible for empowering someone I shouldn’t.
I’d never thought of that idea. I always thought teachers teach anyone anything.

My singing voice has improved since I started rapping. I sang a song the other day that I wrote and it was pretty good. Then I deleted it. So we’ll never know

I did sing the song whipping post tho
My composition teacher taught us to never throw anything away that we write . I know I’ve done that too and it’s like disrespecting one’s time and effort.
