That’s pretty cool @daydreamer! I don’t particularly enjoy going to the store but i’m better at handling it than i used to be. I go if i have to.
same here @disciple I am usually terrible at keeping my fridge/freezer stocked and getting takeaways seems to happen a lot and i’m trying to stop that,
My cooking habits are shocking too like after getting all that stuff i only ended up making a piece and bacon lol it was ok but not a proper meal,
I live with my parents right now so i just give my mom money every month and she does all the grocery shopping because she’s going for them anyway. I am on the waiting list for an apartment, though, so i’m working towards being out on my own again. Then it will be weekly shopping trips for me again.
Welsh rarbet chips sound interesting.
Good for you @daydreamer!
Looks like a very healthy shopping list.
Way to go @daydreamer! Shopping is hard for me too.
way to go @disciple having my own flat has been the best thing that has ever happened to me, i love being independent but it does have a few drawbacks like cooking, cleaning etc but in the main its been amazing for me,
I really hope you get a nice place and have a real good time there.
@pob i think you call them potato chips, they are ridged and welsh rarebit is a cheesy dish i think, i also got roast ox flavour haha (i’m guessing its like bacon)
thanks guys i think it would be cool to compare shopping lists, i reckon each area has specific products lol
I did some food shopping online, going to do it more often.
Why are your groceries so cheap?
Wish I had gone shopping, I see onion rings on your receipt yum
Wow! The food is so cheap!!! Where are you from???!!!
Now that I look at the receipt again I think it’s in British pounds which are worth more than the us dollar.
Oh. Ok. That makes sense.
yeah if it was dollars it would be about £1 = an extra 29c on every dollar
still much cheaper than I pay. I live in a very rural, small town and groceries are outrageous. I spend $500 per month for a family of 3 and I make almost everything homemade and frugal. That does include household items too though.
it was bought at a Lidl which is one of the cheapest shops but although it is a limited selection it is still quality i think i’ve got enough for roughly 14 meals, the whole lot came to about £35
my best buy i think was my Belhaven Best, its about £3.80 a pint in the bar near me and i got 4 pints for £3.49
you’re a great shopper, hats off to you!
i’m really not i really hate shopping and my fridge is normally bare, luckily this shop was on my route home and i thought ‘why not?’ bc it i hate spending over the odds on takeaway food.
