hi guys, i was volunteering today and it was ok bc i got to take part in a therapy called Qigong and it was very nice, the Chinese woman was very nice and funny too and she showed us some moves and breathing exercises and i was laughing a bit while i was doing it, after i was talking to a carer and then i started feeling anxious so i was knackered when i got home and have been a bit down but tbh if i hadnt done the volunteering and Qigong i may have felt even worse so i guess i can look at it that way.
I’ve heard of Qigong. It’s all about some invisible energy called “chi” isn’t it?
You’re always up to something very interesting!
it was very interesting and the Chinese woman was hilarious, i think even if i hadnt laughed for years that she would have got a little chuckle from me, i was supposed to take my mum to a raffle tonight at the day centre as well but i couldnt do it, she said it was ok though bc she can get a taxi.
You’re an inspiration to me dude!
wow, lol, thats great haha, i do try, i’ll be doing lots more different things as well if i can stay on the ball
i’ve been offered another session of reiki as well and they do mindfulness as well, there is a lot i can help with and take part in at my voluntary place, yesterday i managed to do an extra 30 mins over what i usually do at my admin and after it i got my mate (who is also sz) a pint of beer lol.
To @daydreamer
only time I took part in foreign therapies was under force, in the ward.
it’s nice you did something interesting during your volunteering, bud
I heard u can do interesting stuff with chi at more advanced levels
There are various types of Qigong. Let me explain a little bit, Qi in simplified Chinese is as Chi in traditional Chinese. Qi or Chi implies the energy. It is regarded as an alternative therapy.
That’s cool. I would also like to try reiki, accupuncture, even massage someday. But as of now I am not comfortable with people touching me.
