I cant stop questioning

If I actually have sza. I didnt ever have q lot of hallucinations. Just some. But I was on seroquel for a long time before being diagnosed with sza. Just a low dose to help with OCD. But even before that I experienced primarily paranoia and anxiety. I havent had a hallucination since being on abilify. Part of me wonders if it was all just drug related since I have a history of lsd a d marijuana.

Maybe it’s just my OCD? Maybe I’m losing insight?

If its drug induced, I think u get a chance to try coning off meds with pdoc after a year or two, with a slow taper but it’s not everyone’s cuup of tea.

Best of wishes to you

I think @anon90843118 is right. If it’s drug induced psychosis, your doctor may try to taper you off meds after a while. If it’s truly sza, you’ll probably need meds for life.

I’ve asked my dr and she said she thinks its sza and the drugs just made it worse. I’m trying to trust her opinion

I think like the others said, the proof will be if you taper off ap’s and don’t have psychotic symptoms.

My sibling had a pot-induced psychosis at 20. Then no meds for 20 years but heavily self-medicated with alcohol. Stopped alcohol altogether. Gradually deteriorated until winding up in Emergency, diagnosed with a psychosis aged 45. Back on ap’s permanently. Turns out he was sz all along.

I used to take meds til I felt better and then stopped. Then I’d have a psychotic episode and go back on meds. Did this several times before I realized it’s the meds that make me better. I know that meds are for life for me
