I can't handle any amount of caffeine. Could it be Abilify?

I have a caffeine hangover today because I had a single Coke yesterday.

It’s just bizarre.

Is there anyone else on Abilify who finds this is the case?

Absolutely.

When I was on just Abilify, I couldn’t have coffee or tea.

I’d have a panic attack.

Now, being on benzos, I can have exactly one coffee a day.

Things get weird if I drink any more caffeine.

I blame the Abilify too.

If I consume more than 200 mg in a day I get heart palpitations.

I can drink coffee all day without any problems.

I take it’s cousin, Rexulti, and coffee actually sedates me to the point that I fall asleep with the half drank cup in my hand and dump coffee all over everything.

I don’t have this issue on Abilify but I’m sorry you do. What is a caffeine hangover?

A caffeine hangover is similar to an alcohol hangover for me (I don’t drink alcohol anymore but remember the hangovers!)

Ah I see. That’s rough, you may be mildly allergic to caffeine. I have a buddy who is allergic to caffeine and it wrecks his stomach. Maybe it’s an intolerance. I dunno but sometimes caffeine just doesn’t sit right with some people.

I’m very sensitive to caffeine. It throws me off. The only caffeine I’m getting is from chocolate, but it’s not noticeable unless I eat a lot of dark chocolate.
