Been years since I cooked a full meal for myself, Turkeys were on sale for $10.00 so I went for it. Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.
Going to get the something to go with it but not sure what? and I love Hot Turkey sandwiches as leftovers

You need sweet potatoes to go with it! I like to mash mine and cover them in roasted pecans instead of marshmallows!
Also, roasted Brussels sprouts!
sounds awesome. we have turkey and ham, I don’t know if we are having everyone here for thanksgiving or not. here in the states it isn’t until the 4th Thursday in November.
I saw the title and I don’t know why but I thought you meant you bought a live turkey lol
Sounds good roasted turkey especially with stuffing!!!
I thought you had bought a real bad second hand car!
They sell stuffing in a box that takes 5 minutes to make. All it takes is boiling water and emptying the contents into the water. Serve it with butter on it. Frozen mixed vegetables was a staple of our Thanksgiving dinners. Cranberry sauce in a can, costs a buck and a half. I prefer the solid stuff but the soft jelly stuff is fine too. You can buy gravy for the mashed potatoes in a little paper packet that is simple to make over the stove.
I’ve seen everything now, just seen a ad on KIJIJI under free stuff, person wanting to give away the bones from the turkey she cooked, suggested making soup, would be cheaper to just buy a can of soup…
My dad used to make mashed sweet potatoes with chopped onions sauteed with a little bit of Indonesian fish sauce and then mixed into the sweet potatoes. It was a sweet and savory dish. It sounds like an odd recipe but it was delicious.
Don’t think I have ever had sweet potatoes.
Sorry no way would I eat a kitten!!!
That kitten knows what’s up!
That’s either a very small kitten or a very large potato!
