I bought a studio quality sound recorder

I bought a Scarlett Solo second generation sound recorder that hooks up to my digital piano and my desktop computer. It records me as I play. So, now, I can hear what I sound like, finally. I don’t have it running correctly just yet. The hook up is very complicated and requires the assistance of paid technicians unfortunately as I am a computer illiterate. Anyway, with the help of a pair of headphones, I can already hear myself play, as I’m playing, so much better than before. And I found out that I don’t sound so bad as I thought.

I’m looking at a $50 Rode mini boom mic for the smartphone, so I can do interesting interviews with random people to put on youtube.

Very nice piece of kit! I wanted to Scarlett, bought a PreSonus USB instead as it’s what I could afford.

I also have the Scarlett solo.

It came with a Mic, headphones and sound card.

It has excellent recording capabilities

I had the scarlet solo but it broke, now I have the boeringer. Both are great :+1:

Hey, I got a recorder. It’s working now. I got it working! Yay! Now I can record myself and hear what I sound like.

Focusrite makes good stuff. Earlier in the year I bought the scarlett 2i4 2nd generation. Unfortunately I haven’t had much motivation to make music lately but it’s a great product. It came in a kit with two microphones and two stands.

I love the monitoring quality.
