My thoughts and prayers are those in Florida. Hurricane centre should be able to track it. The problem will be if it back tracks.
I might hit Tampa causing mass devastation.

No doubt lives will be lost.
Hope you are OK if you need to evacuate.
Where I am situated, the worst danger will be tornados and nobody can plan for them. So, if a tornado is coming we have a full gas tank and can start driving.

Do you not have cellars where you can isolate?
I have heard of storm chasers but this one is on such a scale that infrastructure will be hit.
@Vinegar you can get in the inner room of your house like a walk in closet like we do when we get tornadoes…

No. Almost nobody has cellars here. The rest of the US has them. It is too sandy here for basements or cellars.

My sister lives in Tampa and evacuated to Tallahassee, but my dumb niece has decided to ride out the storm about 5 miles from Tampa. Thankfully, my mom and dad live further up the panhandle in Destin. I pray that my niece will be okay, and that as many people get the hell out of there as they can. There will be significant devastation with this storm. I’m glad i live in Alaska…

It’s too late to evacuate to miami airport. Traffic is backed up on i95 highway.
It will be a search and rescue after 2am Florida time.

My uncle niece nephew and their kids are in that area and didn’t evacuate. I’m very concerned about the whole family.
They boarded up the house etc but still! I think they’ve made a very bad choice

Infrastructure has been hit. There was a tornado on highway i75

I saw a youtube clip that claimed that theres been a lot of casualties. They’ve apparently filled like 500 body bags. And the government has been trying to prevent citizenry from helping and attempting thier own rescues of others etc. Apparently the mainstream media is failing to report properly on the havoc?
But sorry this all might be unreliable.
