How's your control of stress?

Fairly poor, but I guess considering my neurological condition, I give myself an “A” for effort. Almost anything outside of my routine is a trigger for stress and anxiety. I got so stressed at the beginning of the spring semester because I didn’t think I could handle the combination of classes and dealing with the online guide that I completely lost perspective, was panicked, called and left an embarrassing message for a professor even after I told myself not to call. Being too busy at work without enough help also makes me lose perspective. I hate this about myself, but I know that a lot of this is because of my mental illness more so than a character flaw.

My response to stress (usually social anxiety or fear of failure) is to get agitated and anxious. Fight or flight … if I can’t do one of those I get severe neck tension.

The best way to control it is by exercise.

Money and health are big stressors but I think those are top 2 for everyone.

Good luck Shellys - i hope you get the position, if not it is certainly a learning curve and if you miss out this time, there is always another interview and good luck with the anxiety, most people have anxiety at interviews whether they are suffering anxiety most of the time or not - so congratulations on getting through the interview.

Pills. Candies. Sleeping.
