How to get rid of a persistent delusion?

A TC is where you are supported in a working hospital, and recieve support from fellow members, but at the same time you are challenged for bad behavior by that same community.

Incendently, my TC Was drug free, and i was there for a year, where they treated personality disorders.

Its about being honest and recognising how your feeling and taking a positive approach to it.

But do you wish I would be forcibly medicated?
And I don’t have a personality disorder so why would that be good for me?

Why are you so argumentative? People are just trying to help you. If your pdoc says you needs APs, then yes, you should be forced to take them because you lack insight.

I lack insight into what exactly?

I know my delusion is a delusion, is that lacking insight?

You’re lacking the insight to see your psychosis for what it is. That is, if your pdoc says you suffer from psychosis, then you need meds. You don’t know better than your pdoc

I lied to my pdoc what’s so difficult to understand about that
One delusion needs no meds especially when I know its a delusion and the meds don’t even work

If you lied then, you could be lying now just so you can get off meds.

Why would I lie just to get off meds?

This member has a history of abusing other members.

I’ve tried several times to genuinely help and was met with a combative attitude and insults.

She’s called other people delusional, she even brought another member’s kid into the conversation once.

She’s admitted lying about her symptoms and I just don’t trust anything she says.

It may have been harsh, but it was warranted.

Who told you one delusion doesn’t require meds? One delusion is all it takes.

I’m sorry but most of us ARE delusional. Sorry.
Also the kid in question is being talked about by everyone else too so why call me bad for it? I’m not that good socially as you know.

If a person (ie. me) can deal with her delusion without meds why should they be forced to take antipsychotic injections every 3 weeks?

Most of us take our meds and aren’t as delusional as we once were.

Every time you get backed in a corner because of your behavior, you start calling us delusional and it’s insulting.

I, for one, am sick of seeing you treat our forum this way.

You can blame it on poor social skills all day,

You know when being mean is being mean.

Do you have experience of having dealt successfully with this delusion without meds? If I understood correctly that delusion is what got you into trouble in the first place, and even if granting that you may have lied or exaggerated about other symptoms it is your real delusion what brought you to the attention of the doctors. One delusion is all it takes.

I was the one opening up talking about the real delusion to the doctor so I think it may just be an overvalued idea… idk really

And yes I’ve survived without meds well

You survived for a while but you’ve got to accept that at one point it became too much, hence your big time crisis.

What crisis do you exactly mean?

You ended up in a psych ward. That’s a crisis

The one that landed you in hospital the first time.

Alright.

Stop asking for advice and then getting combative and insulting members when you get it. This thread has run its’ course. It’s the exact same thing over and over.

Your threads cause irritation and strife. For now, please try to join other threads and talk about other things. If you reopen another thread on this, I will close it.
