I bicycle to get those endorphins flowing.
I honestly feel I’d be dead a long time ago if I didn’t exercise.
Click on cognition.
Noticed this from earlier.
Keep exercising your mind by reading, drawing from memory, actively trying to be mentally happy and psychosis free. Drink tea or coffee.

I’m not an expert, but I know what has worked for me. Some of it is probably pretty general and will work for others too. It’s not a cure, but I think you’re more likely to benefit from this right now than from supplements.
Some things you can improve with practice. Concentration can be improved if you practice every day. The same goes for reasoning and logical thinking (e.g. mathematics, which you mentioned). Try solving math problems, and you will find that it gets easier and easier the more you work on it. How much you can improve is individual, but it is pretty substantial. A lot of the problems us people with sz experience with cognition are due to lifestyle. Don’t underestimate that part or fool yourself into thinking your lifestyle can’t be changed. Also, exercise. Not sure how much this has helped me, but it seems to help. I think my motivation has increased quite a lot with practice. Social functioning can also be improved with practice, but probably not as much as concentration and reasoning.
Other things you can not improve as much with practice, but you can still compensate for them. You can find ways to bypass memory problems. Use lists, calendars on your phone with alarms, alarms for meds, and most importantly, establish good routines. When something becomes a routine, you remember it much more easily and it also gets a lot easier to do, which bypasses much of the motivational part for the thing you’ve just made into a routine. Routines have helped me enormously. Try to make one new routine at a time. Slow and steady progress is best when it comes to this, because routines take time to establish. Also, you can try rewarding yourself when you do something that’s good for you. This makes you learn that it’s a good thing and will make it easier to do it over time.
According to the registered records of ClinicalTrials.gov, the most widely tested techniques and the existing FDA-approved medications have aomed at modifying neurochemical mechanisms of dopamine metabolism, glutamate metabolism, GABA metabolism, serotoninin metabolism, acetylcholine metabolism, and oxytocin. In addition, newer investigations for drug development have orientated themselves toward neuroprotection and the facilitation of neuroplasticity. “How to cure severe cognitive problems associated with schizophrenia” I don’t know. meds help to alleviate them, for me
Don’t think there is a way to cure it in your thinking,
My guess would be medicine, stress relief, practicing things, etc
Imagine cognitive functioning is just a ordinary solid
Nothing a person does it’s just there for everyone
Fish oil and b vitamins help me, I believe, combined with regular reading and studying and playing the bass. Excercise as well helps the mind
I’m happiest when my diet is fat / dairy / grain free. Also taking Paliperidone, Niacin, Vitamin C, Proline and Lysine. May have to cut back on the Lysine since there is risk of kidney problems with high doses of it, but it has helped so much. Seriously reduced the pressure in my head.
This got posted awhile ago, but might have new theraputic potential for cognitive problems.
