As a solo artist. I think I was 8.
Well, he did some good solo work after leaving the Jackson 5, but when he achieved superstar status with “Thriller”, and "Billie Jean " was playing any time you turned on the radio, I was about 22 years old.

That would have been around 1970-1972, so 13-15 .
I was in college when Thriller came out…everyone in the dorms had a Thriller party watching the video…fun times…

I was about 12 or 13 when I heard Billie Jean.

I didn’t exist. That’s weird a thought. There was a time when I didn’t exist. And someday I will once again stop existing. Life is absurd when you really think about it. We get stressed out over so many things that ultimately really don’t matter in the greater scheme of things.
As far as Michael Jackson, I never really paid any attention to him because he seemed really old to me when I was growing up. I was into emo anyways.

Michael as a solo artist, he was 12 and I was 10. I was smitten. And blown over by his talent. I was not impressed by Donny Osmond or David Cassidy at all. All the other little girls were. But, not me.

When I was a little boy I was terrified of the thriller video. My older sisters used to hold me down and force me to watch it.

I was a grown woman in my late 20’s when Thriller came out. I used to love to dance to that album in the clubs.
