My Medicare supplemental sends a bill every month showing a breakdown of the costs of all my meds and who paid what. Even though I pay very little out of pocket the bill comes to over $2000 per month. Most of the expense is the Saphris and Rexulti. Do you get a notice like this? What does your medicine cost you and/or your insurance company? I don’t know what I would do if I ever lost my insurance.
I have Tricare and they don’t send any notices.
Out of pocket I pay about 180 dollars a month. Without insurance it would be about 1900$
i don’t pay very much, probably around $25 a month copays.
My Paliperidone / Haldol prescription costs $0 out of pocket in BC, Canada.
Alot of these drug companies have patient assistance programs if you cant afford your meds or have no insurance. My pdoc offered to give me samples if I couldnt afford my meds. My latuda is $1200 a month. I pay 8.50.
That’s incredible @anon12381882
I’m thinking close to $900. My meds are all covered my pharmacare. I pay $100 a year.
I have to pay the equivalent of 250 US dollars a year. for 4 medications. Zyprexa, Zoloft, Levaxin and Lipitor.
I dont live in the US, nearly no one has insurance here. Its all government paid. Were taxed pretty hefty thoug.
I pay roughly $20/month but without insurance it would be around $500
I get a notice like that. I asked to be switched to the cheapest of all my types of meds I need so I never end up in the “donut hole” where you pay almost 50% of the cost of your meds until you end up at the next limit where you pay less again.
The only thing I’ve ever had to pay for is my fish oil, and it’s less than $2 per month
I get my meds from the V.A. So my out of pocket charge is zero. I don’t know what the V.A. pay for them.
Oh that’s great @Ridgerunner
My prescription of oral Invega was $1400 per month and insurance was refusing to cover it. So, I was paying out of pocket for partial fills of my prescription. Then I was hospitalized and switched to the injection, Invega Sustenna. My out of pocket has been met now and insurance is covering it, so I don’t know how much it costs. I’ll find out next year when insurance resets, haha.
That’s terrible, I’m so sorry
Tricare used to send notices. I think Latuda is pretty expensive.
I get mine through the VA now though and they are all free.
Oral invega should never cost that much. They have a generic available.
My meds come out to about $2500 a month roughly if you include heart ones. Both my wife and I have benefits plans at work and there’s no limit for prescriptions on either so nothing comes out of my pocket. We can keep the plans after we retire as well.
I dont pay anything for my Relprevv injection.
