Thanks, yea I’m surprised cos I usually put it in my bum pocket where I’d be sitting on a lot during my cleaning night shifts.

And when I had it in my front pocket at the same job it would drop out on floor, when bending to clean stuff.

It’s quite good…

yea they send me a message from the phone company that 3G is gonna stop soon and that i will have a lot of interference on calls then. So maybe i’m gonna have to look for a new one then.

I have a 13 pro max iPhone.

So had it about 2 years. The battery health is at 86% after that time, which is pretty good imo.

When it gets to below 80% I will get Apple to replace it. Looks like that’s about £85

Figure that they support iPhone 8 with software upgrades, so that’s around 4/5 years more potential software support for my phone.

No other manufacturer I am aware with supply that much support in years for their devices software.

Also I am betting that these newer chips (iPhone 11 and newer) had such a high bar that I hope that they will be powerful enough to last even longer than the 4/5 years

I’ve had my phone for 2.5 years.

It’s an iPhone 12.

Still happy with it.

Had my current one for about 4-5 years, it works still, but it has become a bit buggy at times. Don’t know if it’s the software or the hardware. Samsung galaxy something.

Magz, mine is alright but the battery life is beginning to sort of decline.

Mine is just over a year old. I upgraded because I wanted the new camera. I think I will hang onto this one for a few years after the contract expires as I am very happy with it.

Can I ask what phone you got?

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I had the S22+, but it was missing macro ability that I badly needed. Now that I have that in the S23, it’s nearly a complete camera rig in my pocket for when I need to do photography but don’t have an actual camera at hand.

I see, I have considered just getting a new one even though it works, cause I’m paranoid about suddenly having no working phone… maybe a backup would be good.

Yea… That’s not a bad idea really.

I’m thinking it’s good for me too especially as some1 who is planning to do a ft job that requires communication with staff by phone etc. Might just get a new phone a slight bit before this current one is completely dysfunctional. Then I have 2.

If u can afford it and it makes u feel more peace of mind, I say go for it.
