My glasses prescription was lowered slightly last time
The eye doctor said the change of meds was likely why
Only realised recently it’s not your eyes but the brain that causes bad vision

My vision improves if I stay on escitalopram long enough. To the point I don’t even need glasses.
I visited an eye clinic. They specialized in vision correction surgeries. On form they give to people it specifically asked if one takes SSRIs. And if one had previously taken SSRIs in last six months.
So there’s some clinically significant relation that they take it in consideration.
Improvement is not just limited to vision when on escitalopram.
There were vision changes with Geodon. It made my near sightedness a little worse.
I had laser eye surgery. my sight was around -8, and after surgery -1,5.
3 years later I noticed my sight had gotten significantly worse. I’m at -3 now.
I still think the laser eye surgery was great, as I was completely dependent of glasses. I’m not completely blind without glasses. and now I use contacts some of the time! but yes I was very disappointed when I noticed my sight had gotten worse even after the surgery. but at least I’m not at -8 or more anymore…
I never thought psychiatric medication could affect eyesight.
