English is my first language. I speak some French and am approaching fluency again after studying hard for the last eight months (I was fluent as a teen, but, no practice using it since). Strongly considering Japanese next so I don’t have to watch anime with subtitles.
Oh, and I can swear in Afrikaans and Russian (cyka blyat!).
I mainly speak English, but I can speak some Punjabi. Not enough though! My religion requires a good foundation of it, so I don’t feel like a full adherent without that knowledge.
If I had found the time to master Punjabi, I think I’d pick up Japanese too. Lots of interests of mine are Japanese-to-English dubbed, like anime, JRPGs, and some FGC Youtube videos. I wouldn’t mind being able to understand the language directly.
I’m only fluent in English and I have a rudimentary (not to mention rusty!) understanding of French. I want to learn Mandarin. It seems challenging but fun.
I have an interest in German but there would be no way for me to practice it. I prefer the dead languages like Anglo-Saxon, Middle English, and for some semi modern fun, Shakespearean English.
Well, i’m naturally very fluent in English, being my native language. I can speak a little bit of French. Just sort of enough to get around but not enough to hold a proper conversation. I used to teach myself French quite a lot because i’ve always wanted to learn it. Now, though, my motivation is through the floor and i just can’t be bothered anymore.
LS! I speak my native language Dutch fluent. I speak English at level C2, I have got a CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge), I speak French at B level and I also speak German. I have tried a number of other languages like Moroccan Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Tibetan, Japanese but I did not get far with those. So I speak four languages.
My native language is English. I’m semi fluent in Spanish. I’ve been studying it for the past 50 years but never had much opportunity to practice it. Also, I’m very hard of hearing and that has always held me back too.
