OK, I’ll bite. What’s a NAC?
And where can I get one?

What is NAC? 1515

It seems to interact with Abilify. I developed suicidal ideation on it. So I stopped it.

But if you’re not on Abilify it’s worth a go.

Nac is

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)

And you can get it on iherb.com

It worked pretty quick for me 1-2 weeks, but for OCD, not directly for sz.

Hmmm thx. This relieves symptoms of SZ?
How many mg recommended? Thanks :+1:

I think the lowest dose pills you can get are 600mg. So start with that maybe.

It’s supposed to be good for negative symptoms.

Wow that’s exactly what I’m trying to fix
All the negative symptoms of SZ
Positives thankfully are under control

My pdoc doesn’t believe in all these things though…I inquired on several things and all he would say is, if you want to waste your money…

Some doctors have the god syndrome. They believe that only they can cure you with their prescriptions. The reason is probably that doctors spend 6-12 hours of their 7 year education to learn about nutrition.

I have used quite a bit on supplements and better diet and I honestly feel a lot better off than before. Supplements and diet combat the side effects of the meds and also relieves symptoms of the disease.

@Mr_Hope So you have done it…
Cause also my therapist always tells me if I want to try these things, to tell or ask my pdoc first

There is so many things though, from Lions Mane, NAC, Omega, Taurine, Vitamin B’s

Buying everything would be expensive lol

Yeah, you should start out with a few that seem most important to you then take it from there. Ofcourse cost is always a issue. I guess I have chosen to prioritise these things, but it’s not so hard since I live a quiet and simple life.

NAC works for depression for me. It took one or two weeks to work.
