How long till your next pdoc appointment?

Mine is in 2 days.

We have nothing special to discuss. I’m doing well since I’m back on Wellbutrin. I guess we’ll take a next step in the tapering of my benzo.

When is your next meeting with your pdoc and do you have anything to discuss?

I just saw one of my psychiatrists yesterday and she gave me my Invega Trinza injection and asked me some questions. I didn’t have anything to talk about. I don’t see her again until next month.

Do you prefer the injections to the Invega pills?

I’m not seeing a psychiatrist at the moment.

It costs a fortune.
$600 you get some back from Medicare but still expensive.

My lovely Gp is enough for me thankfully.
She prescribes my medication.

I’d rather take pills but injections are easier. My dad won’t let me switch to pills either.

My pdoc is free. This forum made me realize we have really good healthcare in Belgium.

In a week probably.

I don’t have much to say

I’ve never been on the injections. My pdoc said she doesn’t prescribe it to regular patients. She prefers the pills.

I feel i will go to pdoc if i have mutiple break down, i am scared to change med or alter it if i go beacuse my first doc never use to change my meds until i have mutiple break downs.

The current doc adds one or the other meds if i say any symptoms

The injections are good they just hurt a little bit and my arm is sore afterwards. I had a problem years ago of not taking my meds and forgetting to take them so that’s why my dad wants me on the injections.

I can’t get my meds without seeing a pdoc, so I have to go for the prescription.

She gives me a months supply each time.

It was free for me in :sweden: Sweden I think and in other part of australia :australia: just not this part of australia because public health psychiatry has years on waiting list one has to go private.

Yeah was free in Sweden.:slightly_smiling_face:

I believe in health care for all.
It should be free or affordable for everyone.

I just saw mine last friday, so I’ll see her again in a month. Im likely enough to be able to do telehealth, because im scared of driving. My husband has to drive me everywhere, which means taking off work. If i get a little more stable I’ll be able to go 3 months between appts, but for now i see her every month.

I usually see him once a month, but it’s been awhile. I missed my last appointment and can’t seem to work up the nerve to reschedule. I don’t know why. Soon probably…

I hope you can muster the courage to make a new appointment!

I saw my psychiatrist last Thursday. I reported I was better on the lamotrigine so he has increased that and also increased my duloxetine to 120 top dose

I got kicked off my pdocs list cuz i didnt go for more than 6 months (which they didnt tell me was a requirement…) so i have to go through the referral process again. Which could take 1 to 2 years.
But hey free healthcare right :white_check_mark:

Are they working on training more docs in Canada? There seems to be a shortage of them.
