I hear its a slow acting medication 
Most psych meds seem to take 4-6 weeks for decent effectiveness. It does change with individuals but it’s not a bad guideline.

im scared to start it. The last x i got nightmares. Is it possible to not have the same side effects round 2 like 2 yrs later??
It’s always good to try. It’s all about function. If it’s helping you be more normal then that is good. Hang in there. A good idea is to keep a little diary of how your feeling. It does take time so keep on it. When do you see your psychiatrist again? If it’s a couple of weeks let them know how your doing…even if you have to show them your little diary.
Thats a great idea. I function so terrible. I have such bad disorganized thinking… and such negative thoughts and voices. I also started to have akesthisia i think the last x. When i tried to lay in bed id flop around unable to sleep. Does that kind of stuff go away?
