Mine can last days and even weeks
Before medication, usually days until one episode finally made me snap and go to the hospital.
On medication, they usually last for a few hours or a day. Then im fine again. They are also far and inbetween.
Days at maximum. Usually like 3-4 hours.
I get episodes that last for an hour or so.
I heard voices constantly for months, does that count for being psychotic for months?
Mine lasted 12-13 years roughly
Mine longest was for 6 months more of a mania but it was psychotic. And currently going through psychotic depression for past 3 years. Does it count?
Anything that disturbs you from daily living counts.
I think it counts. If it messes with your thought process ir peace.
Mine lasts months usually.
I had one go 6 months until I got help and got medicated.
What could improve the thought process? Its a million dollar question. But any small tips is appreciated.
What defines a psychotic episode from hearing voices?
Is it with psychosis episode u don’t have insight?
Twenty five to life
Mine was ongoing until I was pulled out of it by Seroquel. It was less of an episode, and more like I was constantly straddling the line between reality and delusion.
What works for me is closing my eyes taking deep breaths, also reading for some reason helps. But I too am in a journey to cope with a distorted thought process.
Psychotic episode Imo includes disorganized thinking and speech, its more like your thinking pattern shifts into distortion and you “can” differentiate between reality and delusions but the judgment is clearly off.
Thanks
OK for me it was about 2/3 of a year.
My psychotic episodes can last years.
My psychotic episodes last from a month to years. I think at this point off meds I am just continuously psychotic.
Do you mean symptomatic or full blown psychosis? That would be insane
