I was just curious because I feel like my thoughts about the battle between good and evil have lasted too long to really be a delusion, and most of the beings agree.
it could be momentary or it could last for years if unmedicated.

I had momentary delusions. and I had others that lasted longer. momentary delusions come and go so fast but they are serious too. I had thought broadcasting that lasted 5 minutes. I had the delusion that my father was gonna kill me but that lasted only a few seconds.

It could last for ever even if you are on meds but that is much more common if you are off meds.

I still have delusions i have a hard time with even knowing they’re delusions and being adequately medicated. I’ve had them for about 10 years.

they can last years or months. Forever even. But medication controls it or gets rid of the delusion in my experience.

Delusions can last anywhere from a week to years to until you die. It varies.

I don’t think there is a limit to how long a delusion can last. How long have these thoughts been going on?

I’ve had ones that lasted for several months. Usually the longer ones that I have are come and go. Like I won’t be thinking about it all the time, I’ll just be thinking about it for a couple of hours and getting really paranoid. Then it will fade and I’ll be ok again. Then later on, it will come back again. Same theme, same people involved.
Other times, they will just last for a few seconds or minutes.
My meds got rid of this mostly. I only have a bad day once in a while now. Usually it comes with seeing things that are not there too.

Hi guys, thanks. I was just wondering because I thought, since my thoughts about the battle and the beings and everything have lasted for about 2 months now, that their persistence means that they’re real. I’m like 90% sure it’s real, 10% hopes it’s not, but the 10% makes me want to know for sure, lest I risk my life over a bunch of beings who just want to mess with me. I just don’t know what to do. By the way I posted this because I couldn’t reply to my other topic but now I understand that there’s a limit on how much I can reply each day.
