November 2014. The place I get mental health services at only hospitalizes homicidal and suicidal people.
I haven’t been in a psych ward since March of 2012 and don’t plan on ever going back. I have been suicidal many times since then though. I deal with it on my own.
More than a year ago.
I was last in psych hospital Mar 8 1983 .
I can’t afford to go to the hospital. There were a couple times I really needed it but somehow I’m still here
January 2010. I was there a month.
mine was nearly 7 months ago
not that long ago, but progress still
Three years ago for about two days. Before that it was 26 years.
Good record…………
Dec 2018. One night. Just slept there. Was useless, but my parents really wanted it because they were worried. The nurse didnt find it fully necessary.
Last real one i think spring 2017. A few months. Mostly waiting for them to judge whether they could follow a “high risk policy”. Meaning they were convinced i was sane enough to make decisions and they would thus let me be free of court orders, even if i totally disagreed with them, and they were expecting that i would quit meds and possibly kill myself. They decided i was free to make that decision.
After that i picked up life with ups and downs. I decided against cold turkeying or killing myself and kind of fought to never come back at that ward - and didnt.
A year and a half ago.
yeah that’s a shame, it does get pricey. I saw my bill paid for by medicare and Medicaid for a one month stay and it was in the thousands.
I know it’s awful the way they charge you and in my state if you don’t pay your bill then they won’t see you and I can’t risk losing my pdoc because of it
I applied for ssdi in May and I’m hoping and praying it goes thru and doesn’t take 2 years
So I can get in that insurance
The first time I went in was for a night only in May 2018, the last time was the middle of August 2018 for 2 weeks.
Two years ago. I have usually had few rough emotions in the hospitals, like anxiety, delusions/ confusion, and insomnia. But for me lately the roughest time is the several months after I get out of the hospital. I have been in the hospital 12 times in 38 years. I hope I never need to go again. I am upset about my whole experience with schizophrenia.
Yeah, @firemonkey - he got Kaatherine85 and I beat my a mile!
I just got out of the hospital last month. I’ve been hospitalized 5 times total, between 2016-2019. Three of the hospitalizations have been in the last 6 months. Plus I’ve done residential treatment for 45 days, PHP for 10 days, IOP for 3 months.
sounds like your going through a rough patch. wishing you good health and a recovery.
Thank you, yes it’s been the worst. I’m feeling more stable now that I’m on loxapine.
happy to hear you have found a med that is working for you.
