How does alcohol effect us schizoas/schizos?

I bet you’ll over hear some conversation at some point you want to chime in on…

Groups are hard to penetrate…

People in pairs can be chatted up if you address both of them.

The easiest people are the folk out there doing the same you are… they arrive alone and sit down and maybe recognize someone… or just start a convo with a stranger.

if ■■■■ goes south there are always other coffee places…

i’ll tell you though… indoors they’re all going to be sitting down and inaccessible… as much as they might want to talk… it aint going to really happen in there.

gotta find that smokers patio with the hipsterish crowd in your town… I think you’ll fit right in…

and ■■■■ the actual hipsters… the musician types… the people there just looking to bag folks… they’re just going to be assertive as ■■■■ and ignore you if it makes them lose that placement

ignore them first lol

but don’t be too prejudiced… you can always see how they respond to the nod…

you’ll start to figure out the different kinds of responses people have and what they mean… but you’ll have to do that yourself…

don’t look for specifics… just positive or negative… some smile some might wave some might nod… some might scowl or look confused… it doesn’t matter… they’ll forget about it before you know…

forget about it first and they’ll see it was just a genuine careless acknowledgement that lets them know you’re looking to talk and you got a bit of confidence to you.

Yea theres a lot of coffee shops here but everyone seems like their so sucked into their own world to really want to meet new people. Everyone on their laptops

yeah it wasn’t until I found one with a patio that I started going out there…

it was actually a particular blonde barista I enjoyed getting coffee from that broke the ice for me… though that didn’t go anywhere.

Ok ill try to find one with a patio then

it’s a must man… most of them have one… coffee and cigarettes are the fuel of most peoples afternoons… they go hand in hand…

unless your town is particularly straight edge…

bring a book or a comic/manga or something… broadcast a bit of your own culture… don’t look for it but I bet someone will notice…

take something popular that you like… like trigun maybe…

I’d avoid naruto or that other crap… I don’t really know manga… but make it gritty… and not childish (no offense) just saying… you want something that would appeal to more people. Most people don’t even approve of DBZ… something with a cool cover will draw peoples attention and spark their curiosity…

find one that is both recognizable and interesting… one of the other cultured folk who’s looking for a chat might pipe up at you… just try and enjoy yourself and pretend no one is there otherwise

I gotchu i don’t read naruto or dbz. Ive actually not read a comic in a very long timd. And its definitely not straight edge. Far from it actually. But theres a non smoking policy that our town has so smoking has been frowned upon lately. I mean u can still do it and not like get arrested but its not looked kindly on anymore in public

meh… that’s stupid… hah ah you’ll still find a place with people chilling outside I’m sure… perhaps just because it’s too crowded inside.

the open outdoors loosens people up I think,… it’s like the enclosure inside just makes everyone feel like everyone hears every word they say.

oh and even if convos fall apart… just let it go as quickly as possible… return to yourself and your thoughts… use it as a place to recover and get used to people being around…

people will move on and forget about it… if they end up teasing you just forget about that too… those kind of schmucks are so simple and bored that they like to try and get in peoples heads…

whatever happens man… just hold onto the good times only… i’d advise that about life in general.

It is the way I used it. I’m an alcoholic, and I always drank to get drunk. I never had the slightest desire to drink socially.

I feel like my brain is shriveling up and my life turns into dangerous and emotional torments.

I steer away from it.

I definitely get erratic moods. Also hard to control outbursts of anger after a night of drinking. And of course recklessness . And usually end up with some form of psychotic symptoms over time

I’ve been sober for almost 5 months and I feel more leveled out but definitely on the low energy depressive side of things.

i’d say yes, alcohol is a depressant and you could develop a dependancy on it, not good for your brain or your liver

I always felt better the next day after drinking.
