How do you wear your hair?

Dreads. Best hairstyle ever. Rope hair. Cant beat it!

Chin length and layered. I usually pin the front up with barrettes to keep the hair out of my face. Or I can leave it unpinned and hide behind it if I’m feeling anti-social.

Dreads. Thinking about dying it blonde. However I’m going to wait until my retwists are old. Just got it done and I don’t want it to be ruined.

How does one make dreads in your hair, what’s the process like?

Once had extensions looked good but hated them.

I wear my hair in a mullet cut. Business up front, party in the back

I keep my hair buzzed short.

I usually get it done at home, but from now on I will be going to the Barber.

This is a big step for me.

Maybe I will go with my caseworker

I cut my own - every which way. I cant cut it the same way twice. I like it pretty much - not long enough to blow in my face.

Get extensions! Easy solution to that awkward ā€œgrowing -outā€ stage. They work for all hair types, races, etc…

Nice tight cut! Clean cut is good look. We deal with so many stigmas as it is, so I think we occasionally do ourselves a disservice by making our appearance stand out from the supposed ā€œnormā€. I am 100% for self expression and everyone should do and be whatever makes them happy; so I hope no one takes this the wrong way. Its just that we are judged harshly and criticized already for who we are. So when we show up with an appearance that is not socially accepted by the majority, we get judged even more. Its unfair, I know. But I’ve learned I have an easier life if I look like we. I had green hair at one point, purple hair, facial piercings and once I got rid of all that, my life became so much easier. I hated changing who I wanted to be. But the hair colors & piercing were not worth the judgements that came with them, especially if people found out I had sz too

I live in a pretty progressive place. Most of the people at my last job had purple hair and tattoos. No facial piercings though, for safety reasons. What I really want to do is shave the side of my head, but the rest of my hair needs to get longer first.

I used to sport a partially shaved head! Love it!

Mohawk all the way baby!

I don’t do anything special, since I’m a black guy I can get away with completely bald. After a haircut I’m completely bald until it grows in. I don’t do any styling, just ugly nappy hair.

I have also had green, blue, purple, dark brown, orange and red hair. Not at the same time though. I was a lost teenager and colored my hair. I was not like anyone else so I though why not stick out completely and on purpose. Then noone will notice my dark sides. I was the only one coloring my hair in school. The teachers did not know my name, I was ā€œthe one with blue hairā€. I skipped school a lot.

I’m a blonde. I keep it longer in the colder months and shoulder length in the warmer. I almost always keep it in a ponytail because it just ends up annoying the crap out of me if it’s not in one. (Also I have to wear one for work in the lab anyways)

I’ve said this since I was like 8 years old, but if I didn’t think I would look bad/like a cancer patient if I shaved my head I probably would. Hair is just a nuisance to me.
