How do you like your pasta šŸ?

I like pasta, takes a couple minutes to make and just top it off with cherry tomatoes, basil and any cheese you like! :yum:

I tried whole grain pasta it was not good.

I also make pasta with dry mint, mayonnaise and tuna :fishing_pole_and_fish:

I will bake a ready made pizza though today, I am very lazy. I have the all dressed Delissio

I take a Mikes tomato sauce and just add a lot of vegetables in it with basil. Sometimes I add beef.

I always eat macaroni or spaghetti.

I already told you I’m not a very good cook but usually my meals are healthy. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have not tried Mike’s tomato sauce. Usually if I make tomato based spaghetti, I make with

constrained tomatoes
dry oregano
salt
water
olive oil
Paprika
grated onion

I make the sauce and fry the beef in it then add the cooked spaghetti.

I can not eat a lot of chilli even though I like it a lot. I am getting horribly sick.

I like my pasta firm. I don’t like tomato sauce on my spaghetti. I usually douse it with butter and paresean cheese.

I haven’t made spaghetti bolognese for ages.

I eat a lot of pasta. I make a homemade spaghetti sauce that is quite good; I make it kinda spicy, use habanero peppers. I also use habaneros when I make chili mac, my second favorite way to dress up pasta. I plan on making spaghetti sauce Sunday, so I will have something for lunches at work for a few days. I think this time I will add ricotta cheese to it, something I haven’t done in a while, and possibly boil some frozen tortellini instead of plain pasta. I used to make my own pasta (including tortellini, ravioli, etc.), it’s actually quite easy to make, but the cleanup is a pain, so it’s been years since I’ve done it that way.

Huh really?! even the dough you make it yourself?

Yeah, it’s really simple. I learned how to do that when I was a teenager. I used to be so good at making it that I could start the water on the stove and have the dough made, rolled out and cut by the time the water came to a boil.

Lol that is amazing!!

I make something similar but it takes me at least an hour to make enough for two people.

It looks something like this with ground beef. I make the dough from scratch.

The only times I have made homemade pasta in recent years was when I was trying to impress someone, typically a woman I was dating. I would have her over for dinner and make her homemade pasta with homemade sauce.

Isn’t that the best feeling? someone actually is impressed by you? :grinning:
It is so nice when a guy actually makes an effort like that.

Hugs!!

I really like chicken parm with spaghetti…with extra sauce on spaghetti. I can get it around here but I have to go to a restaurant and they don’t deliver. I’m from NY so I use to get it delivered a lot. oh yea, and I like my food spicy…so with extra red pepper and a little oregano

Another food I used to make to impress is calzones. I make my own dough and filling and everything. I like Neapolitan calzones. A lot of people hear ā€œNeapolitanā€ and think chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, as in Neapolitan ice cream, but the word Neapolitan just refers to something being from Naples. A Neapolitan calzone is filled with a mixture of ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, along with salami cut into strips. Well, there’s also eggs in there to bind it, as well as salt, pepper and parsley. Soooo good.

Heyyy I made calzones too but in our way of the world  I make it with beef and spices or grated hallumi cheese with onion and dry mint.
Yum!!
