Its been two days of sleeping 16 hours each. I can’t stand it. How do you get more energy, focus and motivation? Any strategies?
How is your diet, @anon99233869? I also suffer from low energy.
Better diet and exercise.
It makes a life altering difference.
Melatonin helps to regulate my sleep cycle. I wake up a little earlier and feel better in the morning on it. Caffeine also helps a lot with energy for me. I feel significantly less sluggish sometimes on it. Also going out. Sunlight gives you energy! Also don’t focus so much on your failures, it’s probably not your fault if you fail at something due to negs.
Can’t think of anything. Some supplements could help, but I am not a fan of supplements. Being on a less sedating antipsychotic could also help. I take Seroquel though.
I have no energy… I move from couch to bed. that s my routine.
If you’ve just started your meds then maybe it’s just your body getting used to them.

@Tomasina it’s not that great. Its weird because some days I eat basically nothing, others I eat ok. But it’s always not the greatest food. Not balanced too well. Sometimes I go weeks without touching a salad or a piece of fruit. Its chaotic I suppose.
How long did it take for sarcosine to take effect? Is it really significantly helpful?
Yeah I hope that’s it. Its just when I was off all APs for a few months I was sleeping even more. Its starting to make me think it’s depression? I’m not sure. Can’t wait to get a pdoc again that’s for sure
Awww - @anon99233869 - good on you for recognizing this - that’s a start! In your area can you talk with a dietician for free. Here if we ask our doctor - he/she will refer us to a dietician for free. Diet is really important!! Just start by taking small steps.
Coffee is my best friend, at times.
For me, it took about a week to notice improvement. Everyone is different, but in my case it helps tremendously. I get more done, my memory is better, and I’m more focused.
I have more energy when I avoid people. I don’t dislike people, but I am self conscious around them. It is very draining.
I drink the zero calorie Monsters. Works like a charm, especially if I’m having a hard work day.
