Elyn Saks is a law professor at University of Southern California
I’ve read the book she published, i was impressed with her writing style and brutal honesty. She’s definitely an inspiration!
I read her book. She seemed smarter than John Nash to me.
She seems like a smart person, who I would seek for advice.
I must say, it seems that success does correlate with demonstrated verbal intelligence, more so than mental illness or other deficiencies.
I once found a link to a professor of physics who had schizophrenia - it’s interesting how these people including people on the forum overcome the negatives to get into work at the correct times.
Idk if it prep or mental strength
I have her book in my book collection. She is one of my heroes.
I read her book. Got the impression she was an affirmative action hire really. In the book she is in therapy for years not improving. Then she tries meds and improves. Then she attributes her improvement to all the therapy.
Interesting stuff @robertc
I thought her book was good. I spired me to hang on and to keep trying to improve.
I would Imagine there are more people like her who end up having something like a decent life with sz… I hope to hell I’m one of them In The long run !!!
