Anyone watching it?
What do you think?

I hear that it’s not as good as Game of Thrones, which I watched and enjoyed.

I don’t have HBO Max but may subscribe to it just so I can watch House of The Dragon.

But if House of the Dragon turns out to be a flop then I won’t get HBO Max.

Whats your opinion on this GOT prequel?

Is it worth watching?

Parts were disturbing. I guess that’s par for game of thrones.

Lots of dragons! So that’s a plus.

It’s cathartic to see so many Targaryens around because in the main series they were sparse.

So it’s a different story but plenty of action and intrigue and all the things we like.

I was thinking about trying to watch this, I love dragons and it sounded exciting but now you say bits are disturbing I fear I may be triggered :frowning: (i am easily triggered by tv)

I’ll watch it. I started it this morning but it was a bit slow. Mind you the first bit of GOT was the same till you got to know all the characters. I’ll stick it out but not expecting anything too revelatory.

And I’m pretty sure they’re releasing weekly episodes.

There won’t be in the upcoming LOTR prequel on Amazon, so it may lose in the ratings game! :smiley:

Not just this, but definitely doesn’t hurt to show some sexy bits.

Amazon did do a wicked season of Winding Refn’s work called ‘Too old to die young’ . Beautifully shot and pretty disturbing scenes and themes.

It is the most risque amazon has ever been.

I love Refn’s cinematic shots.

It won’t disappoint, if you like Drive and stuff.

It took me 3 episodes before I was into Game of Thrones. But then I was hooked.

I’ve only seen one episode of House of the Dragon. It was good. I’m not hooked yet, but I’m giving them the same chance as GOT, because they have to set things up. We’re just getting to know the characters.
