Game of Thrones ends tonight

And then forevermore there will never ever be another Game of Thrones Sunday to look forward to. What can I say, we all knew it was leading to this! :dragon:

I’m gonna miss GoT, and won’t have any other reason to subscribe other than Real Time, and I don’t think that one show alone is worth a HBO subscription. Last Week Tonight is pretty funny also… but we’ll probably cancel our subscription after finishing GoT and watching the Deadwood movie.

Yeah it was such a good ride. I only got onboard after season 6 or so. Caught up and watched three series when they came out. Amazing storytelling and so well made. Read the books and the television was so faithfully represented. I’ll miss it. It was worthy of spending some time in and there were so many holy shite moments in the whole!

Looking forward to the television adaption of the Witcher. Hoping that is as well done!

Are the books’ storyline different enough to warrant reading after you’ve seen the show?

If you like reading it’s worth reading. Trouble is that the television was so close to the books. You know what is going to happen and you already have an idea of who is who. I’d say just watch the shows unless your a big reader.

I found GoT disturbing into season two…stopped watching when they massacred the babies.

I always love it when my mom says “they did stuff like that back then!” I’m like yes, but this is Westeros, it’s not Earth! But I always end up agreeing that it’s similar to medieval… IDK, Britain? Weren’t they doing Knightly stuff around 600 AD?

I haven’t seen one single episode !

My friend had to fight hard to get me through the first season. Once I witnessed the end of Season 1 I was a forever hooked die-hard fan.

I’ve avoided all talk and all articles about the ending. I want to be surprised

Too much death in it for me to watch. I have OCD when it comes to dying and the show triggers me

I wish the writing for season 8 was as good as the other seasons but it’s still a great show, one of the greatest ever.

SPOILER!!!

My prediction. Jon snow sees danearys is touched by the Targaryen madness following her torching of kings landing. He ends up sacrificing himself and taking out dani and drogon by igniting wildfire.

Arya marries gendry and those two rule in peace and prosperity

I hope you’re right.

I have a feeling that Jon Snow might be fire resistant as he is a Targaryen.

Would that apply to wildfire as well? Mmmm interesting.

I really want a spin off series set in the first age of the white walkers set before the wall. That would rock
