My mom and her fiance have gone up north for the weekend. I’m home alone now and feeling paranoid. It always happens when I’m home alone. I keep checking to make sure the front door is locked and same with the back door and windows. Does anyone get paranoid when they’re home alone?

I use to a long time ago but now i stay alone and rarely get paranoid
I stick to a schedule and constantly reassure myself that they are and I am fine.

I keep hearing voices mumbling in the basement but there isn’t really anything there. Still makes me feel a bit paranoid.

I do get paranoid when I’m alone at home but live in a security complex so do feel safer than if I lived in an ordinary house. I’m rarely home alone though as hubby can’t drive alone much due to his seizures

children don’t be afraid…being alone I use my time looking at art and architecture picture books…play guitar and sing in the mornings…get on here in the afternoon and evening and late evenings trying to help. there is a big change when you use your alone time for distraction…a good book, a meaningful song or album to you, having a nice drink or meal…there’s lots to do…get busier and try to make your life count even when you are alone…
I used to get very paranoid living alone. So much so I had to move back in with my mum. Now I have a partner so I’m not alone.
I know how it feels and it’s sucks. But you are very safe I promise. Just focus on that.

It took me 6 months and three hospitalisations in that time to get used to living alone.
I have done so for four years now, but I am still close to my parents.
Work is a good distraction and gets me out of the house, but I do not socialise with anyone outside of that.

Doesn’t bother me further than walking in my front door thinking someone will spring out at me — I used and sometimes still do put a folding chair Blocking my front door, and sleeping with a Bowie knife and hammer every night…
However, for the most part I love my alone time, I don’t have to force conversation with anyone…
