Hiking with army brother

my brother called and wanted to know if I wanted to do a 2 day hike in West Virginia somewhere. I said I would go, not sure what we will talk about.

even though he’s out of the army its hard to get past that he did that ■■■■ for 20 years. we’ve had our share of arguments, especially when I was unmedicated.

yesterday I was little nervous about going with him. I mean is he a psychopath that could snap at any minute if I get an attitude with him over something?

anyways were going in October sometime, I hope to do about 60-80 miles, lose some weight, and put the whole army thing behind us…and be a normal family.

I honestly don’t know if people in special operations are psychopaths. Something tells me that they have a lot of restraint. The most I’ve hiked is around 10 miles. Man 60-80 miles would be brutal in my current shape. Hope you have a good time.

yeah I figure I can do about 30 miles in 12 hours, based on past hikes. x 2days=60 miles. with the up and down terrain we may only do 40 miles total. my longest day hike ever was like 40 miles. I don’t think im going to pack much food, I’ve got some fat stored up.

yeah he has restraint but he also shows some concerning behaviors. like how forceful he gets with the dog and how aggressive he drives on the roads, other than that he’s pretty much a saint that keeps it together pretty well.

I have to be honest, im looking forward to our post army relationship. when I was younger he always tried to recruit me into the services but I didn’t want any part of it. other than that I’ve always liked him, he’s my older brother.
