Hi friends. What are you all up to today or this week?

Hi there.

I’m just eating breakfast atm

I’m planning on selling stuff. Or even just donating stuff probably to get rid of it ASAP via gumtree

Moving out next week.

Kind of excited

Wish it could have been end of November though. For better mental preparation but whatever this will do.

How is everybody doing.

I hate house moving. It’s so boring. How to make it fun?

I’m doing alright. I’m kind of bored and by myself though, trying to pass the time.

You must not be in the US if you’re already eating breakfast :open_mouth:

What do you mean by house moving? Moving is always stressful, I can’t think of a way to make it fun. I recently moved and our new place still isn’t fully furnished.

This week’s crazy for me - Thursday I’m having a hip replacement and I’ve been spending the last few days on the phone with the presurgical nurses triangulating everything, and doing my weird rituals, like showering with this strange antibacterial body wash, and twice a day I have to swab each nostril with antibacterial salve to the depth of about an inch, which feels really weird and painful. I’m ready for this whole thing to be over…I’ve been hopping around like Pegleg the Pirate :parrot:for long enough. Bring on the terrible hospital food and the yummy good pain meds. Yay.

Oh I just meant I’m moving to a new location.

With a new landlord.

Oh how recently did you move?

Was it a long distance move?

Yea for me it is just the contents of my bedroom not actually a whole house

Aw good luck!

I hope it goes smoothly

How long have you been in pain?

Yea hospital food is absolutely awful.

If I ever end up in there again I will either eat my own food or go on hunger strike lol.

Yeah we moved from west coast California back to hometown on the east coast, in Virginia. Longest possible move in the United States.

I took a plane and my mom drove the car all the way, took her almost a week to make the trip.

We’re renters though. Our new landlord sucks, he left a lot of stuff broken and then when we told him about it he fixed them but acted in such a way that basically told us he already knew about most of these problems. He was just waiting for us to point them out before he bothered fixing them.

My mom also had to pay a month in rent before we even got there. He should have fixed the stuff then, I mean he got a few grand for a whole month where we never entered the house. And when I got there to pick up keys once I landed on the plane, there were several people exiting the house when I met the landlord. I’m suspicious he let people stay there during that month.

We had to pay the extra month to even be considered, homes for sale/rent get scooped up within a few days of the listings nowadays it’s crazy.

Yea same here.

I had to pay what’s called a holding deposit in the uk half a month in advance of actually entering the room

Why did your mum drive for… A week.

Is she afraid of planes

No, but she needed a way to get the car back home. Also she could only take with her what fit in the car, but she made room for my sound bar and subwoofer and my books somehow, which I really appreciated. Some things we couldn’t bring with like our little exercise bike, so we mostly sold and then rebought stuff.

Have people join you when you move. Find some money to spend and enjoy doing some decorations around your new home

I have the whole week off work so I don’t have much to do.

How comes is it a pre booked holiday?

That’s this Thursday? Are you freaking out? (Besides the annoying pre-op stuff.)

No, with my job the manager doesn’t book any shifts. There is a website that I log into and I select the shifts I want to work, when I logged into it last week there was nothing available, all the shifts were taken, so no work this week which sucks because that means no money next week.

About a year, but I thought I was gonna just tough it out. Stupid I know.

Yea sometimes I leave things too, because I like to check if it would just go away on its own
