Hey does anyone work full time and still get the medication covered?

Hey so I got a job offer that is really well and I have been on meds for 5 years and this is now getting scary because i feel ready to work the only problem is I will now be technically not on “disability” and that to me is okay but the scarier part is that I don’t know if I’ll lose coverage to my medicine is there anyone out there that gets free meds and works or any tips , Please I would appreciate any constructive feedback

My benefits through my employer cover my meds.

Maybe you need to specify which region you’re from as things might differ?

Do you do co pay or do you work full time or do you pay for a plan ? Sorry I’m very desperate since I just had a baby and I need to make more money.

I’m Canadian so our basic health care is free and our benefits plans pay for extras like dental, dentures, drugs, massages, glasses, etc. My employer offers benefits as an incentive - I don’t have to pay for them. It also helps that I work for one of the country’s largest insurance companies.

When i worked full time in the us, i had my prescriptions covered by my employer-based healthcare. I had Geodon, which was about $350/month without insurance. With my insurance it was $5/month

I work part time and collect SSDI (as I said on your other thread). I have gotten Medicaid and Medicare since as long as I can remember and they pay for my meds and almost all my healthcare except for dental but they pay a little of that too. My monthly injection alone cost over $2000 each month and it is payed for by Medicare.

I know when I worked my employer had health benefits which you paid into every month. I get all my meds through the VA now.

The price of some of the atypical ap’s should be going down soon. They’ve had time to recoup their developmental costs.

I’ve worked 35 hours a week at a couple of jobs (not at the same time), and got no medical coverage. That’s happening in a lot of places. Some people are working two or three jobs and are getting lousy, if any, medical benefits.

Depending on your income, you may qualify for medicaid or a low cost insurance.

My state is dumb about healthcare I’m too poor to get subsidized insurance from the healthcare marketplace but too rich for medicaid (they wont expand it in my state) if i didnt have my moms insurance i wouldve been screwed when i first got schizophrenia

Check and see if this job offers benefits. Most likely, for a full time position they do. If they do, their insurance should cover your med. there may be a deductible you have to pay before your coverage kicks in. Plus, there may be a copay each month when you pick up your script.
