I saw Terrence Trent-Darby mentioned on YouTube today. Anyone remember him from the 80’s? He had a huge hit with Wishing Well. He was supposed to be the next big thing, he got a lot of hype, they said his voice was better than San Cooke and that he had better dance moves than James Brown. But he just kind of fizzled out and had a couple songs in the top 40 of the charts but he never got big and just disappeared. Anyone remember that guy?

Vaguely. I never bought any of his albums, didn’t think he was that good.

Yeah remember. I’ve listened to a lot of music over the years but by the late 80’s I had discovered punk and alternative rock so was already not really listening to the top 40 type stuff…although I heard a lot of it at work.
