Hello everyone, I hope I can join this community, I just discovered I have schizophrenia whit bipolar tendencies and general anxiety disorders. They out me on klonopin and risperidone, and I can tell is working for my delusions bit the klonopin just makes me sleep.
What do you guys take?

How old are you? I am on wenlafaxine and amisulpride. If I went off medications I would have been depressed and paranoid. I got mentally ill when I was 20 yearsold and I got formally diagnosed when I was 25 yeas old. Now, I am 45 years old.

Hey welcome. You’ll probably find the risperdal will help you sleep. Klonopin will help you get there…
It’s hard but keep active and watch what you eat early. These meds can make you put on weight so keep active. With that in mind. Risperdal is good as a first agent for getting people out of delusions. I started on 4 mgs and it sorted stuff out. Keep active and ask those questions and welcome to the community!

Abilify sometimes 12mg - 15mg daily prior to this maintena shots 400 mg/ml each month.

Risperidone has risks and the pdoc will give it when they believe the benefit is greater than side effects. I— started at 3mg and was able start managing my intrusive thoughts and head conversations, but my mood- was terrible at times. My doctor moved me to 4mg after my parents called him about my isolation and with-drawing behavior. It lifted my bad mood so that at times I can be having an okay time but I’m still isolating.—

Welcome I’m reasonably new myself I try to stay on meds , appointment s etc I just can’t for the life of me seem to keep it going on my own. I start taking them and somehow along line I realize I haven’t taken any or forgot about making an appointment again . I have tried all the obvious things like alarms , writing it down. I now struggling here and there not taking any meds.

Meds I take:
- Venlafaxine 225 mg (antidepressant)
- Ziprasidone 80 mg in total (antipsychotic)
- Clozapine 325 mg (antipsychotic)
- Diazepam 10 mg to be taken as needed only
