the hospital has Internet and I am supposed to be asleep but they just came through and did all their vitals so I’m awake. Can’t wait to go home.
Good luck in your recovery. Have a nice night. Good night.
Nice to see you on the board and I’m glad you made it through the operation.
Best wishes to a speedy and strong recovery.
Thank you. I really missed all of you. This forum is the main focal point of my day and I’ve missed it.
oh my @saphire2014 I forgot you were the one with heart surgery ! I’m so glad to hear from you.
Good to hear from you, hope all goes well on your recovery.
You must be pretty strong to sound so good after a serious surgery.
keep us posted on how things go.
Doctor says I am doing well. Believe it or not, they made me get out of the bed and walk the length of the hallway 24hours after surgery. I have this lovely scar from the bottom of my neck just about to just above my belly button. The morphine pump is my new best friend. It keeps me out of pain but makes me sleep a lot.
It’s actually good to see that they think you are well enough to start walking so soon after surgery. My dad had heart surgery years ago, we used to take long walks a few months after his surgery. Part of his heart was destroyed.Sometimes he would have to stop and catch his breath but then he gamely went on. He was very brave.
I remember a year later going on a white water rafting trip with him. He was a tough old coot. After his surgery he dug up practically his whole back yard by hand with a pick and shovel and landscaped the whole thing himself with fruit trees, bushes, flowers, fences, and arbors.
He went for a follow up appointment with his doctor and the doctors told him that the part of his heart that had been destroyed had grown back! The doctors were amazed. All his hard work had paid off. He lived another 23 years.
Here’s wishing that you make a speedy recovery. Good luck.
