My first thread I suppose, thought I could introduce myself.
I have been diagnosed since 2015.
I’ve been diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective bipolar type and now recently bipolar with psychotic features…
It’s all up in the air it seems.
I have experienced psychosis 2x and hospitalized 2x.
Um… haha what else to say really…
I’m female
I like all types of genres of music
I don’t really watch much TV
I love coffee
If y’all would like to tell me about yourself as well, I would be happy to hear.
I ave experienced psychosis 10+ times and hospitalized about as many times. I also like coffee but have trouble sleeping when i drink it. I don’t watch tv very much. I don’t listen to much music either.
Greetings and salutations. If you have had an SZ diagnosis or have a DX for psychotic features then you’re in the right place.
I’m a middle-aged male, a massive dork, married, have an adult kid, work as an insurance broker, and am seriously into photography, cooking, and paddle-boarding. I also love nature walks. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia in the ninties and told not to bother having any future plans, which turned to be wrong.
I’m female and schizoaffective bipolar type. I’ve had that diagnosis for 30 years.
I almost Never watch TV. I love playing my piano, doing yoga, praying and meditating, reading, studying and speaking Spanish, volunteering, traveling, attending cultural events, talking on the phone with friends and family, and dancing. @Wonderer
Hi and welcome anytime you want to chat I am here you know where to find me or anyone else on here it’s a pretty friendly safe place where you’re accepted for who are unlike Facebook, but I still go there to read the quotes and get bombarded with friend requests I hate that may have to stay off there for a while but easier said than done since it’s so Addictive but I guess there are worse things to be addicted to.
I was diagnosed around the same time, and have found myself walking in circles ever since. I tend to overthink things and get too philosophical for my own good.
I would say: Don’t be shy about posting something that troubles you, the people here will help if they can (and it helps to write out your troubles regardless.)
I would also recommend trying to understand schizophrenia better at your own pace. I often see news reports or scientific papers re-posted by others which could help with a better understanding of this complex disease. The research and understanding are picking up IMO, so hopefully a solid understanding of it’s mechanics will be somewhere around the corner.
