I had a pretty good day, went grocery shopping, but still the auditory conversations in my head, or out side my head, people talking about me, negative stuff, mean stuff about me. “she’s crazy, she’s f’d up, derogatory things, She’s got a mental illness, stay away from her” And on and on and on. I made supper and in the kitchen cooking it still goes on and on. Even when i watched a movie.
I have 2 more days off of work. I don’t dare tell anyone at work I hear stuff, it would probably get around work quickly, and i act normally at work, but it is still there. I feel like i am going crazy. I am not on a antisychotic, and have tried them and they were not the wright ones, none of them helped.
I am a quiet and calm person at work. Help please
I carry on conversations in my head. I know a lot of people do that, but I take it to the extreme. I wish I knew what to tell you to do about the things you’re hearing. Talk to a therapist or a pdoc to see if they’ll give you a medication that will help with that.
@crimby Hi I have tried different antisychotic meds, it either makes it worse or it just don’t work at all. Talking to my counsellor next week, have told her over and over, waiting for about another 2 months to see Psychiatrist.
I am at my wits end when it comes to dealing with voices as well. But having good sleep, routine, and some exercises along with medication may help. Take what is prescribed for now until you get chance to meet the pdoc and try doing some exercises both for body and mind so that you keep on track with progress.
@Melomaniac thank you for your suggestions. I have gone for walks, but not lately and I need to. I have time in the next 2 days. I bought some free weights, 4.5 pounds. Starting to eat again and got the obsessive thoughts again. I guess I am to much in my head, and need to stop overthinking. Try to get together with some friends, which helps.
Take your medicine if you aren’t already taking them…they take some time to work, like about six weeks
