Just had the lawns mowed for $30 and the grass was very high…he priced it low because he wants my business…thank God I didn’t have to do it myself…!! Anyone else have their lawns mowed instead of doing it yourself? such a relief…

My lawn is out of control right now,
I’ve already gotten one snarky letter from a neighbor about it.
Its just that my husband is still recovering from his surgery and can’t do it himself AND I just got a quote from a landscaping company at $2000.
Yes, you read that correctly, $2000 to mow the lawn.
So, it might be a little while before I can get it taken care of.

Its just on a hill and kind of a pain in the ass to work with.
They can’t use mowers and have to use weed whackers for the entire lawn.

The place I rent has lawn service but they don’t come often enough so I keep it mowed and they can weedeat when they get here and clean up the brush. They run over it with a mower too but I don’t let it get very high.

I used to get paid for mowing the lawn at our assisted living facility. The lawns were small, but if it was very hot at all I would be flirting with heat stroke before I finished. I’d be drenched in sweat, and my face would be beet red. Also, my back would hurt, almost more than I could take. I’m glad I don’t have to do it this year.

Next time I’ll fly out and mow your lawn. I used to mow a lawn for less than $5.00. And do a good job.

I’m with @77nick77! I volunteer and do it all for the club and look after mum and dad’s place. I’m even used to the heat!! I’d also undercut Nick by $5!
Seriously. Don’t blame you! It can be a drama and paying isn’t a bad thing. For me it’s just easier and cheaper. I have the time for sure!
